About the eastern music festival

<p>Hey,everyone.
I am one of the applicants this year of the eastern music festival.
It said in its website that the acceptance letter will be sent in early April.But I received nothing till now. Does it mean that I was eliminated??

<p>You can always call or email. Notify dates can be approximates, and can be delayed. On the flipslide, things do get lost or disdirectd, emails end up in spam boxes.</p>

I DID email alot to their admission director,but I received no replies. That’s why I am so upset.
I really do want to go there!!</p>

<p>CelloRac, my son (cello) was notified of his acceptance to EMF the last week of March. He was told that although he technically had until 4/8 to submit his deposit, the committee wanted to know of his decision whether or not to attend by 4/1 so that they could extend invitations to others. (He will be attending.)</p>

<p>Pure speculation on my part, but perhaps admissions is waiting until the end of this week to see how the numbers pan out. I would not lose hope - you may be contacted once the first round of RSVPs have come in. Sometimes no news can be good news, although the waiting, I know, is agony.</p>

<p>I think RunningtheBasses might be guessing correctly here. Last year my daughter didn’t get accepted to BUTI Tanglewood until around April 5, although others learned of it earlier. I wondered at the time, since she was a young applicant, if they were waiting a week or two for some to turn down BUTI before notifying my daughter. When she did eventually hear, she was accepted, not put on a waiting list.</p>

<p>Thanks for consoling me!! So I will chosse ,to wait.
Maybe I will call them someday of this week. I think I will be ready to hear the bad news(hopefully will be good news)</p>

<p>I have just called to Melissa,she said I am in the waiting list and still need to wait for about two weeks. Just cannot believe that I still need to wait for THAT long,that I still need to suffer so much pains from waiting my letter!!<br>
Well,okay. I suppose that I will be hopeless!!</p>

<p>I believe for EMF everyone initially accepted has to reply yes or no by April 11th this year so after that is probably when they will start taking people off the waiting list. Good luck…</p>
