About the peer evaluation and teacher's rec

Is it bad if the peer eval and teacher's rec contain similar anecdotes and reflect the same personality traits?
From the tidbits my friend and teacher told me about what they wrote, both recommendations are basically emphasizing the same trait (which I can understand, since they're about the same person), but would that come across as too repetitive?
Or would the consistency work in favor of my app?

I wouldn’t worry about that. You’re generally supposed to waive your right to read the recommendations (on the common app), so technically you shouldn’t know what’s on the letters and thus colleges can’t hold it against you that they’re similar. I wouldn’t get multiple teacher recs that all say the same thing, that wouldn’t be good, but if it’s a peer and a teacher, I personally don’t think that’s a huge issue.
