Okay, so I have my two teacher recs, but I'm considering submitting another one, since it's an incredibly stellar recommendation. I got it a while ago, after a class I took over the summer, and my teacher wrote a very general letter of recommendation, so it's not in the common app "teacher rec" format, and since I'm not in touch with the teacher anymore, I can't ask her to put it into that format. My question is, is it advisable for me to send this third, really good rec to my schools? And if so, should I just explain the circumstances, and will they believe me or assume I just wrote my own rec and stuck it in or something like that?

send it to a stellar school, and kill the not-so-stellar one. If you sent it already, then I dunno what I'd do. If it's incredibly good and the other one was incredibly bad, I'd probly send it.

The other one wasn't bad, just not as good. Do you think if I explained that I wasn't in touch with the teacher anymore the letter I have would suffice?

Maybe attach a note to it yourself, but definitely send it.

At worst, they'll just ignore it.

QUESTION: do your teachers HAVE to use that common app teacher rec FORM, or can they just send in a typed rec??? because one of my teachers did not use that form at all, only their own 1 page rec... do you think colleges will mind? (my other teacher used the form) btw my school prohibits checking the boxes so its not like that form says a lot or anything.
