<p>so do I give the school of my choice the deposit, then when NU notifies me (hopefully) I say I don't want to go to their school anymore??</p>
<p>You should definitley send in a deposit to a school by May 1st because it is highly unlikely that you will hear from NU about your waitlist position by then (afterall, they only take people off the waitlists when not enough people register at NU.. and the deadline for accepted students to register at a college is may 1st). I think NU promises to notify you by June 30. If you get off NU's waitlist and you want to go to NU you can let the other school that you registered at know and then register at NU. At the same time, if you don't want to go to NU, you don't have to say yes to NU. If you decide to attend NU you don't get your deposit back from ther other school-- but i think that's about it.</p>
