About this one Steinhardt 2-credit course

I saw that there is this 2 credit Guitar for non majors (Group) class (E85.0041). I'd like to take it because its a two credit class and I'm interested in guitar. I'm at Stern and am therefore a non major. I'd like to know if anybody has ever taken this class before or knows whats going to be taught there and how the whole thing works. I've taken very basic lessons before in guitar (only very basic - I'm only slightly higher than a person who has not touched a guitar). Is this class right for me? Is it really difficult or is it going to be basic chords, strums and basic songs? I think its graded and don't want it to affect my GPA (because I doubt I can do well in a highly difficult class, since I've not played too much guitar before, and I don't want to be stuck with a bunch of pros). If its going to be tough, I'd rather not take it and find some other way to learn guitar. However, if its easy and basic, I'm sure I can do well (because of previous training), and this class can help me learn more guitar, not affect my GPA and provide value for money. I've got 16 credits now and this can help take me to 18.

Any help appreciated. thanks.

Could I have feedback on the class “Food and Societies” too? Its a 2 credit course in Steinhart. Is it difficult?

guitar is really easy and basic. the only way to not get an A, is to never show up.

Thanks. Thats great to hear. I was worried because it was the only guitar for non majors so i thought it would include non major pros as well. So, is it just chords (like the really basic D,G, A7, Emin etc.) and basic strums that is taught in the class? How much do we actually learn? Do we need our own guitars?
