I really can't waste any money on buying random ACT books. I'd like to improve my score for June 13's test, so I'm wondering if anyone knows about any of the following books:

The Real ACT Prep Guide - will mostly get it for the 3 practice tests (will definitely buy).

Dissecting the ACT: A Unique Student Perspective on the ACT or ACT Test Prep with Real ACT questions - heard some really great things about this book (will definitely buy).

The following I'm not sure of:

Kaplan ACT in a Box

Increase Your Score in 3 Minutes a Day: ACT Essay

Yes, I read the reviews on Amazon, but sometimes those reviews aren't very accurate. It'd be great if I can get opinions from people who have used the above materials. Any alternative recommendations would work too. Thanks.

I have Kaplan 2009 Plan for ACT… (the big purple one) and I think it’s pretty decent. I just skimmed through it night before the test and managed a low 30.

I did hear that the REAL and the PR are good though. I was recommended to Kaplan by a few friends who got 36’s & 35’s lol.

Aww, I already ordered everything, but I guess I can add to the order. Thanks guys.

Just bought it, thanks!

I really hope to get a better score this time. When I took my ACT in April, I got a 22. But I know I can do a lot better because I’m a smart student and a hardworking person. I did not have a good day when I took the test…I was actually having panic attacks due to some drug changes from a few days ago. I even forgot how to use my calculator!

I’m definitely confident that I can boost my score to a 29 and attend the college I want to attend. I’ll make it work. :)
