Hello all

I'm taking the ACT next Saturday and intend to study like hell all this week and next...

My desired score is a 30. Way back in april and early may, I was using the Kaplan ACT book, but then school finals came around, became way too involved with them, and now, here I am, 2 weeks away from the ACT and I am in desperate need of review.

So...what's the best book? I've heard that "The REAL ACT" book is good, but remember I have little time to study. I plan on taking multiple practice tests next week anyway...

If you do a quick search, you'll see that the two most recommended books are the official ACT guide and Cracking the ACT from Princeton Review.

I saw princeton and wasnt impressed. The margins were SOOO wide with useless information. It seemed as if the booked lacked content.

I got barrons and so far find it fine.

Get the Real ACT book and start crackin' - and try to finish up the Kaplan book if you haven't already. Barrons is good if you like the overkill approach, but you may not have time to really get into it.

You can definitely improve your score in 2 weeks. Hit it hard and you may never have to see the ACT again...

I got the "amazing" Princeton Review book but its tests so far are really too easy. On the english i got a 31 and on the math i got a 34! That is uncommon for me. Help anyone?

the princeton review has the best tests i think.

the ones in the act real book i still thought were a little easier, as were most books. but princeton always seems to be just rite

So. Is Princeton the best strategy book? I have heard of Kaplan 2006 and people have noted that it worked fairly well for them.

The Best Tests Book is the REAL ACT Guide Book? I dont like the fact that the testmakers book do not give any helpful strategies except for accurate practice tests.

I have like about 4 days to actually prepare for this ACT on June 9th. Anyone want to offer me any tips on which book to use for reading/science? I think all I need to do is review for Science in PR hopefully and get above a 34.

Thanks

in my opinion, the real ACT book > the real SAT book. SAT was just a bunch of useless, technical mumbo jumbo telling us things we don't need to know. ACT book actually gives helpful advice.
