I had a question about credits and matching courses. Currently, I'm taking Economics/Finance related courses; which is directed towards Business. Like for example, I'm taking courses such as Accounting, Marketing, and Management. They make a HUGE portion of my first year credits [I'm a freshman by the way]. So If I end this year with 31 credits and then apply for transfer to enroll in Fall 2011; New school doesn't have matching courses. What happens in this case? Do I get rejected based on that or instead of Sophomore I become a Freshman again?

That’s a good question. You should check online or with Admissions to see which courses transfer. If not many credits transferr, I’m not sure if they will still take those into consideration or not :. I wish I could help more!

Hey thank you! I don’t wanna check with the Admissions yet, it’s a bit too early and I’m not sure if I’m in.It would be embarrassing to talk about such advanced stuff and end up rejected, you know? But what do you mean by " I’m not sure if they will still take those into consideration or not"

I guess I was thinking there’s the possibility that if they don’t accept that class, they won’t look at the grade, but that doesn’t even make sense. Sorry about that!

Each place that you apply to will have its own policy about transferring credits. Even if none of you courses has a perfect match at the new place, you may be awarded that number of credits as an elective. If you have specific questions, you should pick up the phone and call the transfer admissions officer. Don’t worry about being too early in the process. They get questions like this all the time.
