About upper division math classes

Hi all,
I’m an incoming student for fall 2016 as transfer, and have new student orientation at August 16th.
I was admitted pre-mathematics major. I took all lower division math classes at CC.
so, I think I will take upper division class and many people says MATH115A class is good start for taking first upper division class. But I’m worried about registering the class. I checked the remaining seat, 40 seat available.
Can I get into the class at orientation?

I just need you guys experience or advice.

Thanks!

If you’re majoring in mathematics, you should be able to get a spot regardless of how many “open” spots myUCLA says. This is especially true (you’re 99% guaranteed a spot) if Math 115A is a requisite course, meaning that you can’t take any higher div math courses without taking that one.
