how can there be no scholarships for perfect attendence when theres one for just about everything else?! ive never missed a day of school since i got on the bus to go to kindergarden....13 years! how is this possible?!

you must have the most amazing immune system ever...

I had a college student who had perfect attendance since kindergarden, too.
I haven't heard of any scholarships for such students, though.

Lol maybe not the most amazing immune system ever but the most strict parents ever.

I know a friend that his parents send him to school no matter how sick he is. That sucks. I stay home anytime I want and my mom doesnt care, specially on the senior year.

ye its not bout your immune system, depends on ur parents. i have a 4 day school week and my folks are fine with that as long as i pass my classes. :)

Home-school kids have perfect attendance. If there a scholarship for that, then they'll rack them in.

I personally do not think students should be rewarded for perfect attendance. This is something that cannot be controlled by the student. DD had perfect attendance until sixth grade...she woke up one morning throwing up. When I told her she couldn't go to school, she cried. Ridiculous. She was sick. Some kids are fortunate that they have no health obstacles, deaths in families (requiring funeral attendance) or other things that would require their absence from school. Others do. Sorry, I do not favor a scholarship for perfect attendance.

actually, from a public health standpoint, perfect attendance rewards are counter-productive bcos it encouranges parents send kids to school when they are sick. The result is that not only are the germs passed around to other kids (whose parents are more responsible and keep them home), but the teachers also get sick. As Gomer Pyle used to say: Stupid, Stupid, Stupid.

Have always hated to see awards for perfect attendance because then sick kids want to come to school. It's bad enough that parents have so many reasons for wanting their kids to go to school when sick--obviously it is difficult if parents need to go to work and there is no childcare--but why make it even worse by giving the kids an award for showing up sick?

attendance don't count in college (rarely) T_T

there's no scholarship because no one cares

Congratulations on compiling an amazing attendance record. It will come in handy somewhere, someday.
