I'd say what you do there is more important than if you're there.

I'm sure someone out there really cares that you never got the chicken pox

i just realized having perfect attendance since 5th has not helped in life at all. i should have just stayed home when i needed to.

I'm a graduating senior who has had perfect attendence since kindergarten. Have you found any scholarships for this? Thanks...

Woah, that is an accomplishment, but I've never heard of a scholarship for it. I definately couldn't have done it though... I'm usually there if I just have a cold or something, but there have been days where I'm too sick to get out of bed, or I've just had wisdom teeth surgery, etc... You're immune system (and your teeth) must be pretty awesome.

I haven't missed a day of high school. Pretty pathetic.

And even though I've been there every day, due to the fact that I go to two different schools for half the day each, I've still been marked absent a couple times. (ie. ditching one school half the day to take the AIME or something at my other school). Those should all be excused though and shouldn't count against me, but whatever.

It's funny how you say "ditching school" to take a math test. lol You skip school to do schoolwork

Our D gets one "mental health" day per semester, at her discretion. Think having the time to re-energize has helped her in school.

as a former public health official, IMO rewarding perfect attendance is just 'sick'....in over 12+ years of schooling, it is virtually impossible not to come down with some sort of virus, i.e., communicable disease, that warrants a kid to stay home. Instead, parents send their sick little kids off to school where they infect other kids, not to mention the teacher......back to regular programming.... :)

I HIGHLY doubt there is a scholarship for perfect attendance. What's so special about having perfect attendence? It's not hard to do. Scholarships are rewarded typically for doing something special, like getting really high grades, test scores, or both. Not for showing up everyday.

To be fair, I'm going to Cedar Point on senior skip day...and I don't show up on the days I don't have classes scheduled (mainly around exam time I get a day or two off). But I think they've marked me absent for this once or twice.

haha I skipped so much school last semester
But this semester I have exemptions so I can't skip non-AP classes :(

good lord
perfect attendance since kindergarten??
i think i've missed more school than i've attended
::sarcasm::
and i'm still salutatorian
i say reeeeeelax and take a break when you need it

LMAO!!!! at this thread...wow...

hey Drew00

Do u have Perfect attendance?!?!?!? if u dont u should shut the hell up bc u said "It's not hard to do" well if its not hard then WHY DIDNT u DO IT!!! u loser!!!people like u P*** me off!!! Practice what u Preach!!! otherwise shut the hell up!!!

Oh and Yes i do have Perfect attendance k-12!!!!!!!!
Suck it Drew00!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!lol

You must have not been in any clubs or sports to never have to get out of school...

If it is a school related activity then schools cannot count you absent...at least that is the case at my son's school. He has perfect attendance through high school and only missed a handful in elementary and middle school. Some ppl just have a great immune system! He never wanted to miss and have to make work up.

I am in 12th grade and I have had perfect attendance since 9th (not quite the accomplishment as the K-12 one), but just had to respond to those who think that it isn't a big deal. I am in Marching Band, Pep Band, Jazz Band, Drama Club, and an officer of the National Honor Society. All of these organizations take hours out of my day (after school). I also use to be in Student Council, Track and Field, and a political club. On top of all that I maintain a 3.9 GPA. This is my 4th year of perfect attendance and I think that with my hectic schedule and my academic achievements, that I should receive some credit for not missing school. It is a hard thing to do, and it is simply ignorant to say it isn't. Kudos to the K-12 people :D Well done!

P.S. Getting out of school for sports and such doesn't count against your attendance record, or I wouldn't have perfect attendance.

There probably should be, that's quite an accomplishment. I know I couldn't have done something like that even if I tried. Congrats, but there probably isn't any scholarship like that.
