Absolutely hating college...

CC isn’t particularly user-friendly, I’ve noticed. That being said, I agree with Pea and icanread.

College is not permanent, you’re thinking it is…thats why its getting to you. Part of growing up is learning to adjust to different settings and situations. Learn to be independent and take some enjoyment in observation. You’ll find many interesting characters in college.

“forget about your “problems” for a minute
I have only one question for you:
How much do you love yourself?”

LMAO. was that supposed to be funny? because i laughed ; )

anyways, complaining about your straight As doesn’t exactly earn my sympathy. sucks that you’re depressed & have no friends, but guess what? it’s college…u can easily make friends. i’m a senior in high school, completely grown apart from all of the friends i made when i was like 10, don’t get along with either of my parents [one being verbally abusive since i was little, mind u], oh, yeah, & despite the fact that i’ve always studied my ass off, i’ve always ended up with Bs/Cs. & it’s quite possible that i’ve have ADD & depression since i was like 10. COOL. so thank your stupid fucing doctor for the pills i WISH i had, ungrateful btch. see? there. in perspective, you’re living the life of a sultan. congrats! u don’t need to “talk to someone, immediately!”, what u need is a god damn kick in the balls. now, go & hire a prostitute & get laid. that will life your spirits ; )

“now, go & hire a prostitute & get laid. that will life your spirits ; )”

ROTFL. so hilarious

I’m no professional, but eating healthier and exercising more will help your body chemistry and give you more energy.

to connor:

sounds like youre a dumbass…

are you a doctor? if not, then why are you tellin someone to go off their ****ing meds?

conorske is only 13

well in that case its pathetic that hes already on college confidential…

@OP,

Hey man. Find something you’re passionate about. Maybe before college, this “next step” was your only goal. Now you’ve made it. You have to find something new to strive for.

Also, get better eating habits. What you eat affects your mental health greatly. Vitamins, vegetables, fruits, (blah blah :P) should be somewhere in that diet.

Drink or Smoke weed or try taking a few instant release adderalls. Being ****ed up usually helps awkward people socialize.

B0okshelf: Yeah I drank and smoked up a few times at the beginning of first semester but I’m not really a party type of person. Just not my thing…

thisgirlisaG: I had a 1.8 GPA my freshman year of HS, I’m not complaining about the A’s, I’m worried I’m going to fall back down to that low again and after college there’s no second chances. I was pretty close to being ****ed college-wise and future-wise at that time and just don’t want such a thing to happen again.

conorske: Alright, first off, **** you. Second, I did goto the gym 4 days a week and many times would workout until I threw up/came close to passing out, so don’t run your *ing mouth to me about hitting the gym. Third, get off the meds? Are you actually mentally *ing ■■■■■■■■? You are not a doctor, don’t play one on the internet. Last, if you don’t have ANYTHING worthwhile to contribute to this thread then why the hell did you waste your time here? To insult me? **** off.

Thanks for all the people who have helped… I’ve put in a transfer application at a college closer to home, even though it’s not as good of a college. I’ve got spring break this week so I’ll be going home for 9 days and hopefully after that I’ll be able to finish out this semester of hell and go somewhere else next year.

Not to be rude, but it seems like you don’t have any real problems. Your roommate probably went through high school ridiculed by people like you and is now finally able to express himself. Go out, make some friends, and stop pitying yourself.

Even though the OP’s last post was in march, idk if he still feels the same but I agree with above poster. You seem like you complain about everything when it’s not really a big deal. It’s college it’s not meant to be easy, it’s supposed to get you out of your comfortable zone and adapt to it. The only real problem i see u having is academic burnout. Take breaks and hang out with ppl. Watch a movie, exercise, hang out for every 2-3 hrs of studying.

Take fish oil! It will help your mental health!
