Just wondering if any anteaters eligible for the ACG received confirmation on their financial aid package yet? How much are you qualified for? My EFC went down alot after I submitted my FAFSA changes for the ACG.

Pell Grant: $1100 (confirmed; was $500 previously)
ACG: $1300 (unconfirmed; but estimated)
Total: $2400 in possible aid

I'm pretty sure I'll be getting it, but I assured my mom that it's unconfirmed (should something wrong happen). Doesn't help that she keeps on nagging me everyday about it though. x_x

If your ACG hasn't been confirmed yet, please post if/when it does!

No one's has been conformed... they (UCI) are waiting for the federal government to establish guidelines as to who should receive it... so you have to wait and see... word on the street is that you have to have passed at least two AP tests and/or be planning to major in math or science fields to receive it... this is not confirmed.

I'm aware that the ACG's new, and it's only available for those who graduated from HS starting 2005. For the state of California, here is a list of "Rigorous Secondary School Programs of Study" required for those who should be eligible (PDF): http://www.ed.gov/admins/finaid/about/ac-smart/ca06.pdf But you're right, it still needs to be confirmed. Although UC students can almost be assured eligibility based on completing A-G requirements in high school alone.

The grant regarding math and science fields is separate from ACG and as far as I recall it is only available for those in their Junior or Senior year of study. But it doesn't concern me so I won't double check...Haha.
