<p>American’s 2010-2011 databook, which seems to have been published in March but I’m just noticing it now, makes an interesting read.</p>

<p>They’ve changed the format a little, so that the tables breaking out the number of applicants, admits, and matriculants by GPA, test score, etc., are less finely-grained than previously. However, it’s still the best “chance me” data any school (at least on my daughter’s list) is nice enough to release.</p>
<p>I don’t remember ever having seen Table 30 before, which breaks out, by school, the admit rate and yield.</p>
<p>Admit rate is highest in SIS and lowest in CAS.
Yield is twice as high in SIS as in CAS.
Academic credentials of applicants (and admits) are the highest in SIS and lowest in Kogod.</p>
