<p>Our School used to have a team, I was on it from freshman-junior year, every year we switched divisions, one year we got first, next year we move up a division and get raped, move down a division and get first. Its been like that for the past 10 years. Then finally last year they shut the program down. Totally sucks, the teacher was awsome and the class wasn't the typical acdec group.</p>
<p>So yeah, long story short they made the class a club second semester last year (I was a coach), after our teams got owned pretty badly the school shut it down. It was a lot of fun, I hope those schools that have AcDec teams don't get shut down.</p>

<p>I wish I lived in Cali. I heard that they get 2 weeks off from school just to study for competitions. Sigh. Texas isn't that cool.</p>

<p>i live in maine and we have a decathlon team.. it's actually kind of competitive.. we usually have our team of nine and then ten or so alternates.. i'm so glad the topic is the civil war this year because i'm in APUSH and we'll be covering the civil war around the time of the state competition :P</p>

<p>well there's ten categories, 6 for alternates.. and most relate to either the historical event or the time frame of the civil war. of course, math doesn't.. but yeah.. it's just a base... not completely about the civil war.</p>

<p>My SuperQuiz score was terrible this week (our team takes practice tests). My coach took me outside of the classroom and basically yelled at me for five minutes (and I cried for like, two seconds, afterwards). For some odd reason, he expects a lot out of me, even though he knows I hate history (he was my APUSH teacher last year). Sighhh, yeah. That was definitely the highlight of my day.</p>
