Academic Integrity hurting chances of Grad School?

So I had an issue with academic integrity fall of freshman year, I did not fail the class but my transcript does have an A1 written next to my grade in that class. I was wondering how badly this would hurt me when applying to Computer Science graduate schools, someone told me it shouldn't be too damaging seeing as it took place my freshman year. Any advice is appreciated!

Not much experience here, but I’ve heard the more distance between your application time and the time of incidence, the better. It gives you room to show you’re a changed person, that you’ve owned up to the experience and that you can write it off as being young and silly. Getting a job outside school for a few years and having an excellent work record (alongside a hopefully stellar academic record, sans integrity incident) might help.
