I'm on academic probation cuz I had a terrible spring quarter. During the summer, I talked with my counselor and she told me I need to maintain an 2.0+ GPA each quarter for three straight quarter to get myself off of probation. I'm currently taking 3 classes (14 units) and I'm thinking of dropping one (non-impacted) of them cuz I'm pretty sure I'm going to fail that class. My other 2 classes, I'm pretty sure I'll get an A/B, so I won't go any lower than a 3.5 for the quarter with those two classes. What I'm asking is... if I'm taking only 9 units this quarter and I have a 3.5 quarter GPA, would that count towards one of the 3 2.0+ quarter GPA requirement to get myself off of probation? Or am I screwed?

P.S. I'm +7 units above the ECP so I could afford to dropped my 5 unit class. Please halp. Thanks in advance.
