Academy Grads & Officer Promotion

Someone asked a question about the value of a USNA education/experience as it relates to promotion in the military. I did find a dissertation that compared USNA,NROTC and OCS grads. It concluded among other things that being a Naval Academy graduate is the most important factor in promotion to Commander. Studies show that USNA officers outperform their non-academy counterparts in seven of eleven other measures of performance. It is an interesting read. I'll include the study title if you have access to a library. Can you USNA grads impartially validate this study?
