bump

******** bump *******

Medical school is a graduate program in the US. Please read threads in the pre-med section on CC to get more info. There is also BS/MD program for HS graduates, you can find them in the “multiple degree” section on CC.

The GPA is weak, and there’s nothing here to balance it out except the SATI. The ECs are limited. Do you have any SATIIs? what scores do you have? I’m not seeing anything here to suggest you’re ready for an accelerated program. You’ll be in with the most competitive students. The SAT score can easily be seen as a one-day anomaly, so…

Also, what can your family afford? Have you run the net price calculators?

OP, Your GPA seems a little low for an accelerated program. What schools have you found where you have a chance of getting in?

Honestly? None. GPA too low. SAT is borderline low.

You have to keep in mind that acceptances go to high stats students who the med schools are reasonably confident would do very well as undergrads and would likely get accepted to med school ANYWAY. Your GPA suggests that you wouldn’t get accepted to med school w/o proving yourself as an undergrad…which you still need to do.

Sorry dude, I have higher stats ( not bragging) yet I also have about 0% chance of getting in.

Just to give you perspective, Northwestern med program stats:

Average ACT: 35
Average SAT:2340

Average SAT II: 764 ish

Obviously gpa is probably very, very close to 4.0 uw and each candidate is state recognized for something lol ( well maybe not the state recognized thing)

I would try to get into a college with a good pre med program and shoot those grades up as much as possible if I were you

I agree…BS/MD is probably not in the cards for you…pursue the “normal” way to get into med school.

Thanks everyone. Was doubtful anyway… just wanted to make sure :)
