Acceptable SSAT or ISEE scores

Hello all,

I want to know what are acceptable SSAT or ISEE scores for these schools

Phillips Exeter Academy
The Roxbury Latin School
Groton School
Saint Pauls School

I have taken the ISEE and got 98% in Math, 75% in Reading Comprehension, and 87% in Verbal.
I really need to know whether my scores qualify or not.
Thank you so much, I really appreciate it!

What was your overall? Also, you can find all of that information on www.boardingschoolreview.com !

I don’t know much about the ISEE, but most schools look for 85%+ on the SSAT

Sorry! This post was a mistake.

What is you QR score? Well , I guess your score would be median range of the applicants.

Exeter’s average was over a 90, and Groton and SPS are both super top schools, so the average is probably in the 80’s or so.

Exeter’s average is usually between 90 and 94 and St. Paul’s is usually around 89. Once you come within a certain range of the average, it does not make a difference.

What is the minimum for full pay applicant to 10th grade (international) you guys think?

Schools post the average (or mean) SSAT scores of incoming freshman class.
If your score is near their average, then it wouldn’t be too much of a negative factor.

ISEE only counts singel subjects percentile and stanine not like SSAT. If you get around 90% for all subjects, the overall score might be over 95+ (very much possible to 99 %). My friends dc who took SSAT, overall score is always higher than the single subject score. If you got 87% 95%94% in SSAT, the overall score can be 98~99%.But ISEE the scores will be 7.8.8 . What does look excellent? Definitely SSAT.
And Exter median SSAT socre is over 85%.Here is the link , I think it is not exact stats but I somewhat agree.

My son applied to Exeter, one of the schools my son applied but not first choice. The admission officer told me they considered elite candidates when their SSAT overall score is over 93%. That means lots of candidates scored less than 93%. I don’t know op’s QR score of ISEE. But if he scored aound 80%, his overall percentile will be high 80s.

ISEE is, in my opinion, having taken both of them, easier than the SSAT, especially in the verbal and reading areas. I think AO’s understand that, and one of them, I can’t remember which school’s, stated that ISEE is a complement for the SSAT, not necessarily a replacement, although it could serve as one if need be.

I took both, I just liked that I could guess on the ISEE.
