Acceptance and Fin Aid for internationals applying in spring semester!

I missed the deadline for fall 2009 admission evn tho i graduated this summer frm high school. I simply do not want to waste a whole year doing nothing! So i was thinking of applying for spring semester to some US unis.

Could any of you tell me what kinds of aid are offered for international students in spring semester? There's also a myth that colleges offer much less aid on spring sessions than on fall sessions? Is it true? Is it aslo true that is is harder to get accepted in spring?

Could any1 also pls list schools in NY or PA that give good aid to intl students applying for spring semester? Nd also thier admission rates.

I am afraid your options will be very very limited. There are very few colleges that give financial aid to international students to begin with. Most of the colleges with need-based aid are extremely selective and selective colleges tend to accept applications in the November-January application season only. Significant merit-based scholarships are usually awarded to fall applicants only, even if the college accepts spring applications.
