I didn't get an official decision letter yet from Binghamton (I'm the last one to be left in the dark in my school)

However, i received an email from Binghamton titled "Congratulations, you're the one we want."
with a link to http://www2.binghamton.edu/admissions/admitted-one-we-want/
does this mean that I have most likely been accepted?

The email only contains the link.

Congratulations. That seems like an acceptance to me. Has everyone who has been accepted received this? I haven’t and its making me so nervous. Nothing in the mail as of yet and no update on the status checker. I pray that I’m at least wait-listed.

I’d be willing to bet large sums of money that it means yes, you have been accepted. I received both my acceptance packet and the e-mail (packet came with Saturday’s mail, e-mail came at 5:03 PM today, according to my Gmail account), and the “You’re the 1 We Want” slogan seems to be their acceptance theme. Your letter is probably either in the mail as we speak, or it has been lost. A safe choice would be to call the admissions office tomorrow just to make sure; they may have to forward you a new packet, or they can clear up any unanswered questions about the mysterious e-mail.

Whatever the case, congratulations!

It’s an acceptance. Congratulations!

I would definitely say acceptance! Congratulations! I was accepted and received the same email today. I’d bet a large sum of moola that you’ll have an acceptance package on route to your mailbox.

If you’re receiving an email directly from Binghamton, then yes, you were accepted. Congatulations! :D

Your beautiful acceptance letter is on its way.

Thanks for the congratulations everyone! :D

Should I be concerned that my letter hasn’t arrived yet while everyone else in my school and district have already received theirs?

If you don’t receive it by Friday, I’d consider giving Admissions a call in case there was an error with your address. As far as your acceptance goes, you’re safe. :)

Based on all of this, is it safe to say that if you HAVEN’T received an e-mail, you haven’t been accepted? I’m referring to transfers though.

I havn’t recieved one of these. :(

But CONGRATS!

kyleoXD: There’s still hope, it isn’t April 1st yet, now is it? Also bear in mind that if you aren’t one of the students who receives an email (not sure who does and does not), you could potentially receive a decision by mail after April 1st. If they mailed it out on the 1st, you’d receive it a couple of days later.

@BingAmbassador

Thanks! I hope I can recieve ANY notifications.

Thanks everyone for your replies!

Update: I received my big green envelope approximately 4 hours AFTER my mailman came. I would assume that my mail went to the wrong house and my neighbor kindly returned it.

About the congratulatory email - my friend received the same email but was waitlisted for SoM. There seems to be some people that have been receiving the email by mistake =/

Yeah People have gottent he email by mistake. That’s sad because people’s hopes are getting up for nothing.
