Hello everyone, I am currently a freshman at high school applying to Lakeside School for my Sophomore year.
According to their website, Lakeside only accepts students “based on attrition”. I’m worried that due to this, my chances of acceptance are extremely slim.
Can anybody tell me how realistic it would be to get in based on attrition?
Let me clarify that entrance based on attrition is for those trying to get in past 9th grade.
Lakeside is already hard to gain admittance to and will be that much harder for 10th grade. Their website indicates that there are typically 0-2 spaces available for incoming 10th graders, so assume that your likelihood of admission is very low and spread your search out if you are looking to attend a private school next year. Also, you could call the admissions office and ask if they anticipate any openings next year just to make sure there will be space available.
