I’m applying to Andover, Deerfield, and Choate as a tenth grader. Im already going to a private day school this fall and have been for a while. So I’m kind of use to a big work load and managing your time. I just wanted to know how hard is it for some students to integrate into the community at boarding schools and make friends. While being a new incoming 10th grader?
@2001JET: Please keep in mind that there is a lot of competition for relatively few spots and that the schools you mention are very, very selective. Even if you have top grades, top scores and perfect recommendations, there’s no guarantee of admission. If your goal is to attend a fine boarding school for the next three years, it might be a good idea to widen your net and increase your odds. There are lots of excellent schools out there. Best of luck!
