I am currently a sophomore with a GPA of 2.3, which I know isn't too great. My freshman and sophomore year I didn't do so good (both years around 2.3 GPA & mainly honors). I really want to go to DePaul University and I was wondering what my chances are of getting accepted if I improve for my last two years of high school. I don't know if this information will help at all but, I got a 25 on my practice ACT, and I expect to do better on the actual ACT. I plan on making an appointment with my counselor to discuss this but I was hoping if anyone here could help answer me, thanks in advance.

Hello!
It should always be in your best interest to try and raise your grades if you believe that you can do better. As far as getting into DePaul, our admission staff reviews applications on a holistic basis, meaning that there are no benchmark quotas that you must fill to gain admission. Our counselors look at GPA, ACT score, the amount of honors courses you took a semester, extracurricular activities, essay question responses, and after all is taken into consideration then the admission decision is made.

My recommendation is that you try your best in your classes during the next two years, but you never know that you will be accepted until you submit an application.

Best of luck to you!
