Acceptance into UPenn even with lower ACT scores?

UPenn is my top choice of school and I plan on applying early decision this fall. My ACT score is still not as high as it should be, I got a 30. I just took it again and I will take it once more this fall if needed, but I am very worried that it will hurt my chances of getting into UPenn. I have an unweighted 4.0 and I am my class Valedvictorian with numerous awards in sports, music, clubs, and honor societies. I am the president of several groups at my high school including National Honor Society, orchestra, and young repbulicans.

Do I still stand a chance of being admitted early decision at UPenn even with a lower ACT score?

You can be accepted with a 30, but it is rather unlikely. The bottom 25th percentile cut off is a 31 or a 32. Falling below the 25th percentile spells trouble, try getting it up if you can.

^ that’s what she said

and Jenny, you’ll be fine…although it is a bit interesting that you’re a valedictorian unable to spell the word, but hey, who needs to spell things correctly these days anyways ? ;)

Thank you! And sorry I didn’t notice my mistake! :)
