Acceptance Letter has arrived

I'm from Long Island and I didn't receive a letter yet.

I'm from NJ, and I got nothing yet for stern. Congrats to all for getting in and getting the $$.

that's a good question.. what happens if a college gives you a scholarship by mistake and they try to take it back? what can you do?

I live in CT about 1 hr north of NYC and I didn't get anything.

I just received mine...$7500 scholarship

I applied to the college of arts and sciences

i got mine today. CAS scholarship of $21,000. I live in NJ, but my friends who live in the same town as me didn't get their acceptances yet, although one received a University Day invite today (which is pretty much an acceptance).

Actually, I go to a NYC private Catholic school and I received it. If my scholarship was a mistake, I can sue if they try to take it back, right?

My son goes to a Catholic high school too, but it isn't considered "private" unless it's registered with whatever the association of private schools is called.I think it's called the Association of Independent Schools or something similar. For instance, I'm sure the Academy of the Sacred Heart in Manhattan is considered private (that's where the Hilton sisters went). The "regular" Catholic high schools in New York are administered by the New York Archdiocese or the Diocese of Brooklyn and Queens, depending on their location, and don't charge as much as the "private" Catholic high schools. I wouldn't worry about them taking it back. I'm sure they have a list of which schools are qualified. I'll try to send you a private message, if I can figure out how.

Edited to add: PrincetonRuby, I sent you a private message!

Anybody get a letter that did not receive an invite to one of the ceremonial days?

has anyone who applied to Gallatin heard yet?

I'm from Long Island and have received no word thus far as per whether or not I have been rejected or accepted, however, I did receive a University Park invite, so I am hoping that forebodes something good. Isn't waiting EXCRUCIATING?!?!

Anyone from the Seattle area heard back yet? I second the Gallatin question as well.

maybe they have sent acceptances first

lol i was posting and testing the colors and size, no emphasis

I'm from Long Island. No letter, University Day invite, nothing. I hate waiting. This week has been approaching ever so slowly since I was about, oh...11 and I first decided that NYU was for me. Hopefully NYU didn't decide that I'm not right for THEM. Blegh.

Anyone hear applied to the freshmen year in florence program?

Nothing from Gallatin yet for me, but I'm all the way up here in New Hampshire. I got a Sunday at the Square invite awhile back, though.

I'm in Canada and I got my acceptance today. They sent it "urgent mail", which might explain why it came so fast.

*--R

AnYBodY in EUROPE get ANYTHING yet????

...starting to go nuts.....

I'm on Long Island and I got mine today! I got into Steinhardt for Music ed (choral) with a 10K/yr scholarship. <quagmire>Alllllriiiiiiight.</quagmire>

You can apply to freshman year in Florence???!?!!?

On of my firends applied to CAS, not the program in Florence. She got accepted but put into that program anyway. So now if she wants to go to nyu she has to spend that first year in Florence.

Strange...
