just stumbled upon this page. i used to post on here a lot. im a freshman at rice now, and i just wanted to say good luck and ill see you all next year.
p.s. - the real suspense will come with college assignments and roomate stuff in the mail later on. the pre-Rice experience is very exciting haha.

Hey wherethetreefalls
I don't know where to find that link on the website either. I was thinking that it would be on the admissions status page. And you access that from the e-mail that they sent you to see if everything was in. I think that e-mail was sent out in like mid november with your username and password. I was assuming that in the Admissions Status it would either say Accepted or Denied. I don't know though I could be completely wrong.

nervous times 2837491

relax, everyone!

My information came from a phone call that was made to the Rice admissions office today. Now that all of you in Houston have letters, it seems like a strange answer they gave me. Maybe they were saying was we would not see our letters on the East Coast until Thursday. Did any of you check on line yet?

I went online to check my status and the last time they updated it was yesterday afternoon. Aaahhh!! I am so nervous!

I'm anxious but not really nervous. The way I figure, worrying won't do any good. I can't help being anxious though.

I have heard that they do not release them online until a significant number of people have their letters in hand. I don't know why that is. The point of being able to check online is so that everyone has the ability to find out at the same time. I guess we'll be waiting 'til Thursday.

Yeah, I find that method to be a bit mean of them. =P They want to kill us with ulcers.

I finally was able to login! Anyways, I think I was the second person to get my letter after Josh B. :-P I would have posted sooner, but the server finally sent me back my password request. The postmark date is the 12th, but I also live 15 minutes away from Rice.

I just hope it goes online on the 15th. I am sick to deah of waiting especially since people in Alaska never get their mail until a week after the rest of the nation.
