Congratulations Joshb110! It must feel great to not have to worry about college anymore. I hope I get accepted as well!!!

Thanks guys! It feels great knowing where I will be next year and I wish all of you the best of luck!

( I live in Houston)

Congrats Joshb110!

I also live in Houston. I guess I should expect the letter soon.

Congrats, Josh! I feel better knowing that letters are out. I'm just curious, was it obvious by the envelope that you were accepted?

I technically live in Houston, but our mail has to go through Conroe first.

I was pretty sure that I got accepted when I saw it... but i was still afraid to open it lol

does rice have an online status check-up page?

i found this site:
https://www.futureowls.rice.edu/Login.asp
online admission status has been disabled this year

is anyone else able to check their status online?

by the way, congrats joshb110

congrats, dude. I live in MA, so i expect the letter is a ways away

They do. You should get the address in an email with your login info about 2 weeks after you apply.

haha- other people are recieving their decision letters and I barely recieved my financial aid packet.

got the mail today...not here

same here
(i'm in houston... pooh now i have to wait til monday, first day of finals..)
was freaking out so much my hands were practically shaking when i checked the mail. =b

Are the acceptance packets not sent via priority mail? I always thought they reached applicants faster than the rejection letters.

At any rate, congratulations to JoshB. Any Houstonian knows just how difficult it is to get into Rice as an in-state resident, and from what I have read, it appears to be getting worse.

I'm preparing for the worst
and hoping for the best.

Anyone else recieved a letter yet?

just got the mail...nada

Hmmmmmm there has to be more letters out there somewhere. Maybe they all got lost in the mail.

Hm. Well, Josh's last name probably starts with a B so maybe they mailed letters for certain people on certain days do divide their workload. =P

O.K. let me get this straight. On December 15th we will be able to log onto our admissions check page and it will tell us the decision? I would really like to know when and if it goes online so if any applicants from last year can remember that would be great. Thanks.

i live in MA, so i shouldn't expect it 'till the 15th, but i can't help but get really anxious
