Acceptance Rate For Applying ED

What's the acceptance rate for applying Early Decision to Yale? I know that the acceptance rate for this is higher than that of EA, SCEA, and RD. Anyone know?

There is no ED at Yale any more. Only SCEA and RD.

What is RD?

Regular decision.

SCEA was around 17%.

SCEA was closer to 23% once you factor the EA'ers that got deferred and eventually accepted. if you take the deferrees out of the regular pool and count them in the early pool, RD then becomes around 6-7%.

True, of course both of those numbers include legacy, URM, athletes, developmental cases, and other hooked candidates.

bandit has it right, acceptance just looks higher in the EA round because most of the hooked candidates apply then.

But even if you are deferred you still have a better chance than plain RD candidates.
