Did any acceptance rates come with any letter?
If so, please post!

came with the waitlist - just says how many are accepted off of the waitlist each year for each school. variations from year to year go from 10% to 53%....I assume that means getting off the waitlist is pretty unpredictable.

there was also a mention in the letter of how they had around 18,000 applicants for 1500 spots (approx. numbers, i dont have the letter in front of me)
i think thats what you're asking for?

"Admissions Committees considered more that 18,600 candidates for an entering class of 1,580 first-year students... less than 3,400 of the man well-qualified candidates could be offered admission... approximately 18% of the applicant pool."

I was rejected... oh well.

did any ones letter say anything about transferring? mine was almost encouraging me to try again next year.

They gave acceptance rates for those of us waitlisted but they were numbers like .18, .01, .1, etc. Does this mean that for example .18 % of waitlisted students got in last year, or is the number 18%.

^ I was wondering the same thing. I was more inclined to believe .18% because 18% seems to be a pretty large number... of course I am hoping for the latter!

uhh, definitely the latter choice. a) it says acceptance rates, and then lists a decimal figure of those admitted. the notation kind of suggests that it's not a percentage b) at the bottom of the waitlist letter, it says that during 2004, seven students were admitted for nursing, giving a 0.21 acceptance rate. if we take that to mean 21%, about thirty kids were waitlisted, which isn't unreasonable. if that were 0.21%, three thousand kids would have been waitlisted - just for that school. very unlikely.
