Does anyone know the acceptance rates within each college at Cornell? Is one harder to get in than the other? Or do admission officers look at everyone together?
Thanks.

They look at them separately. Don't worry about acceptance rates, because what's important for getting into Cornell is how good your resume is for a particular school. Cornell is "Fit Specific."

yes but im torn between two, so i might end up choosing what has "higher acceptance rate" (even though i know it sounds really cocky and that the rates thing may not apply to me)

Why not tell us the specific details of your application and we can make a recommendation?

Also, it isn't very hard to find the acceptance rates by college elsewhere on the Internet.

To answer the question...The data is here...

A&S with 18% AR and 37% yield
CALS with 21% AR and 62% yield
University in total 21% AR and a 46% yield.

This may be more work, but you could always just apply to both schools. It's double the work, but I guess since Cornell offers the opportunity, it's only to your benefit :]
