Acceptance Thread for class of '27 Undergrad/'25 Grad

Ok so updates for us finally.

Eastman accepted off waitlist 4/ 15/23. Scholarship offer $15,760, tuition per Eastman $43,340. This also includes a graduate assistant ship Which may have a stipend, we aren’t clear on those details yet.

Still on waitlist at Rice.

Hello, I’ve been following these threads for quite some time but never posted. So, first I want to thank everyone for all the postings and helpful information! This is a wonderful resource! My son is accepted to MSM and Frost for classical piano performance. They are such different schools to consider, and he’s really struggling to decide. We don’t completely have the financial picture yet, but does anyone have any input regarding either of these schools for classical piano? Thank you!

That’s great!!! I’ll DM you!! He is so shy and slow to warm up and only made friends on Saturday. He was cool with the first chair as they were stand partners too. And he agreed he needed to come out of his shell more and I think he made a friend at breakfast and at the dance on Friday. Maybe your child was one of them. Lol

If your D is looking for an apartment the neighborhoods right around CCM are suspect. She could look further out and commute such as Pleasant Ridge, Oakley, Norwood, etc Congrats!!

He chose Oberlin!

Of all the top three, the flute professor there Alexa Still showed him the most love of all. She showered him with introductions, live and via Zoom, in person, arranged for private lunch with him and another Black male conservatory student when we visited, checked in often, shared links to performances and just went ABOVE and BEYOND to recruit him to her studio… and he wanted to go there since Sophomore year of high school.
