Acceptance Thread

Can accepted students post their stats & when they got email 4/4?

I am an international student from Windsor, Ontario, Canada. I got 1890 on the SAT, on my first attempt in gr 11. Do you guys think that is high enough to gain admissions? I really do not want to write that damn test again!!!

i dont think so

It depends...what's your M+V? Isn't the cutt off like 1250?

There is no cut-off that I am aware of. However, ndesai, are you born and raised in Ontario? If that's the case, your 1890 SAT score may be a little low. On the other hand, if your native tongue is not English and you lived most of your life in a non-English speaking country and just recently moved to Ontario, then your 1890 SAT may be sifficient assuming it is the verbal sections that are hurting your score but also assuming your math section was over 700.

I didn't mean cutoff I mean like the mid range. Alexandre is right though. LOL@ that rank. Super Moderator....like you got an upgrade or something.

The mid 50% range is like 1850-2130 and the mean is roughly 2000.

You like my title eh? I guess it is just one of the perks of the job. I can also edit posters' words, so don't mess with me! Hehe!!!

I just noticed.....you're really in Dubai? Should I be worry that my tax returns haven't been sent yet because I know Financial Aid is first come first serve. I'm trying to get it done as soon as possible, but my mom says probably not until Saturday. Oh and I'll stay on your good side.....but still Super Mod....you're offically SM from now on..it's the new nickname.

Yes, I live in Dubai. And SM sounds kind of kinky don't you think?

At any rate, regarding FA, that is possibly the only aspect of Michigan admissions that I am poorly versed in, primarily because as an international student, I didn't have to bother with it and therefore never went through the process. This said, I believe that scholarships work on a first come, first serve basis, but I am pretty sure need-based financial aid is based on need and is not dependent on time. I could be wrong of course, perhaps other posters with some experience regarding financial aid can give you more accurate advice...or better yet, you can contact the office of FA directly.

should i be worried if they havent sent me anything about tax returns?
