Hi everyone! I'm a high school senior in Massachusetts, aspiring English Education major, who is very nervous about getting into UMass (Amherst). I absolutely love it but I won't be hearing from them until early April tear.

I've already been accepted to my other schools (Fitchburg State, Salem State, Bridgewater State, Simmons, and Emmanuel in Boston - awaiting response from Lesley) but I'm still nervous. UMass is my number one school; it has everything I want in a school and it's cheap (I got the Adams scholarship so I'm in even better financial shape, yay).

My GPA is a 3.1 and my SAT is 1700, 1020 without writing. Not great, and I hear their admissions standards are a lot higher these days. Any words of comfort...or discomfort? Thank you very much :)

uuuuummmmm.....................................well...............................HEY!!! You got into colleges already .............................................................
uuuuuuuummmmmmmm.................................well................................HEY!!! You know that you'll hear from them in April..................uuuuuuummmm..............well..................................HEY!!! I don't think there is anything I can tell you that you don't already know......................PEACE.

haha...uhh...well thanks I suppose? I was just reading threads and noticed that people were getting info from people on what they think their chances are. I didn't know if maybe there was someone here who already got in or is an alum or something that could give me their advice? I just wanna know my chances if anyone has any ideas.

'Just take it easy' would be the best advice anyone can give you. You've already apply so there is no need to worry about your stats and such anymore. Just let things flow until the decision notification.

Stats isn't everything. Just keep that in mind.

Thanks :). I know, I know. I really like my essay and my other schools commented on it in my letter so hopefully it helps. I know it's silly to be so in love with one school when I already have other places to go but this one is "the" school for me! Hehe. :)
