when you get that email about
“Your application for admission is now complete, and the Committee on Admission will be meeting shortly to review it. We will have a decision for you as quickly as possible.”

you should already have the MyLMU account set up. and on the site it says “currently under review”. Thats where I am right now. does anyone know how long it will stay labeled as “currently under review?”

Not sure… I know I sent my common app around October 29th and then I received my acceptance yesterday. They’re rather quick to respond. However, that was for “Early Action”. I don’t know if it is different now.

Response time does vary. It’s not uncommon for people to hear early, but usually it takes 6-8 weeks from when your application is first submitted. Also, some people get their MyLMU account set up quickly and for others it happens a couple of weeks after they get the email saying, “Your application for admission is now complete, and the Committee on Admission…”
MyLMU is usually updated 3 days after letters are sent out and all EA letters are sent by Dec 21st, so you should definitely know whether you’ve been accepted, rejected, or waitlisted by Dec. 24th unless you’ve been deferred. Hopefully you hear sooner rather than later and hopefully it’s good news. Best wishes.

I got a myLMU account a week after they sent me the e-mails saying they received my materials. I submitted my stuff on the 27th of october for EA and am getting nervous cause ppl who submitted after are gettin in. Does that mean im gonna get deferred?

I got accepted a couple days ago - haven’t gotten a letter yet, it just showed up on myLMU. I’m super excited!
Anyone know when merit aid/scholarship notifications are sent out?

Thesanchize, don’t worry. Part of the reason why I said 6-8 weeks is because I don’t won’t you to freak out. Every year this happens, some people just get a decision faster and response time does partially depend on major. About December 15th-ish if your status still hasn’t changed then there’s a good chance you might have been deferred. But it’s still November, so for right now just chill, relax, and Have a Happy Thanksgiving.

Ajenn3, If you get invited to the Presidential Preview weekend you should get your invitation in the last few days of January or really early February. People who apply ea sometimes get some information about merit aid with their acceptance esp, if they were admitted Honors at entrance. Normally most financial aid offers are given out April 1st.

My daughter just got her acceptance letter today in the mail!! Yay! Very exciting! Her status on MyPaws is still “currently under review.” No mention of merit money, though. Good Luck to everyone! Hope you hear very soon!!!

I think all EA applicants who haven’t gotten a decision yet received that e-mail. I don’t think it’s a bad sign, just something to tide the applicants over who haven’t gotten their responses yet.
