ACCEPTANCE TO THE HILL SCHOOL..:) w.o financial aid though.:(. Probably not going I suppose.ugh.

You just learned? Or did they move to waitlist already?

No. I applied late and was accepted I’m so excited and sad at the same time. My parents didn’t even congratulate me cuz they think that its not a big deal getting accepted there, and its really whether you can pay fully or not. So anyone feel free to cheer me up:)

Good job!!! Your parents should be very proud of you because admission is harder this year than ever for most schools, Hill included. I think your parents may be a little stressed because now that you have proved to them that you can take on prep school, they just have to pay for it, but like you said, you needed FA. I think they are just a bit frustrated, but GREAT WORK!!! Again, you should be proud of yourself! The school admitted you because they want you, and you have proved that you are capable. It’s always possible to receive FA if someone else turn down his/her offer… Stay positive!!!

Feel better, preppy! Know that you are AMAZING and the admissions people loved you enough to accept you as a late applicant when they already have piles of waitlist students who would love a spot. They thought you were special, and they accepted you because they want you at their school and hope that you can find a way to come!

Congrats! Good for you! where else (if anywhere) did u get w/l, accepted?

well i should get that Hill app moving lol Do you think their FA well is dry?

yepp, i would say the chances of recieving financial aid is lower than can be at the moment.
Thank you everybody for the congrats and the positibe comments. I applied to Peddie, as well rad in plaid so let’s see how that works out for me…
But at this point… nothing is set in stone.

GOOD JOB P. youll get it; dont worry.

:). i seem to recognize you from some place schoolgirlieusa lol

preppy - Congratulations! And thanks so much for sharing your success with the rest of us! For the many kids who didn’t get in during the first round (mine included), it’s inspiring to know that a late application has the potential to turn things around.

And I realize that not getting FA may prevent you (and others) from attending . . but it’s still gotta be nice to know you’re wanted!!! :)

yeah it is dodgersmom thanks:) most people on here seem to think a late applicant has no chance.

preppy i wouldnt feel bad alot of smart kids were not able to come to hill this year. but stay positive apply to another school for september 2010 that has rolling admissions there are still alot of school accepting students. i advise you to apply to other school asap and tell them that you got into hill but you were not able to attend due to no FA some school will understand

How did you not get the financial aid?

Congrats! Does calling the school help?

TheGeek, Hill may not have aid available now, so that’s why. P is a late applicant.

idk about calling the schoool… that might be considered annoyingg.
