Post if you got accepted and if you are likely to go.

My dd received her acceptance letter in the mail today. She is considering strongly, but not fully decided yet.

I just paid the $300 deposit today.

I'm not even going to bother waiting for Brown, Yale, Amherst, etc. (I just got waitlisted at Georgetown) They're all too expensive, even if by some miracle I do get in.

I'm really excited for the Fall =) Anyone else here in Nitze?

yup, got it today!

don't know that i'm really planning to go there...probably jmu for me, unless by some miracle i get into notre dame.

belljar, i feel your pain. just got REJECTED by georgetown. :(

i'm not nitze, just the pres. scholarship or whatever that award is (got the letter in february.)

but st. mary's IS still an option for me. i visited and i really liked it.

good luck w/ notre dame! tough luck to both of us on Georgetown, but i think we'll both end up happy wherever we go =) maybe ill see you at SMCM next year!

thanks! i'm anxiously awaiting my nd letter--don't have much hope, but miracles happen.

georgetown is kinda stuck-up anyway. :p

Does anyone know when the admitted students open house is?

Don't know when admit open house is.

Just thought I'd note though...I just turned down Brown for St. Mary's. So if anyone reads this who is considering applying next year, I think I've just proved that St. Mary's is worth a look.

You made the right choice Underthebelljar. Think about it, you'll have no debt going into grad school with the same, if not better education. Plus, I haven't seen a prettier campus with happier kids.

Thanks baballbryant =) My parents would actually have taken the debt instead of putting it on my shoulders...but didn't want any of that either! Grad school will be good.

Nice decision
