Acceptances

Mine says invalid login on the GAAP site...oh well.

Yeah...

I'm sooo upset about this. I thought I had a pretty decent shot. I hope that maybe, just maybe, not being able to log in doesn't mean anything... although it doesn't make any sense that if you got in you wouldn't be able to log in. I don't know...

Anyone who knows they've been accepted but can't log in to GAAP????

pre1321, I got accepted and I cannot log in (I've tried about 20 times now). So either they made a mistake and sent me an acceptance letter (hope not, lol) or they just haven't entered me in the system yet or something...

Harvard, yeah it's probably b/c it was late b/c they gave out most of the money, and I'm also guessing it's b/c we can't "demonstrate" that we need the money(lol). So, who knows, you might get some!

Congratulations to all those accepted! Georgetown is an amazing school, and if you choose to come here, you'll have an awesome time with amazing academics, an amazing college town, a great city, and amazing social/campus life. Go to a GAAP weekend, and you'll get a preview of what's in store for your life as a Hoya. If you want, you can even call and ask if you can be hosted by a student if you'd like to stay overnight! Or, if you know someone, you can just ask them, as we're always allowed to have guests overnight, up to 3 nights i believe(but no one really checks).

For those that got denied, sorry that you didn't get in guys. I know the stress that's associated with this process, and for some of you, Georgetown was your first choice. Remember, there IS a school that you'll find that is perfect for you. Georgetown wasn't my first choice(second), and now I'm here, and it's AMAZING. You'll be happy at the school that is your match, and don't let it keep you down TOO long. If you really believe you should've gotten in, send an appeal letter, even though I'm not really sure how that works, though I know every year people appeal their decisions at various schools. Good luck everyone!

guys don't rely on the GAAP login yet. Wait until the letter comes, as that is the official acceptance. Some of you might not have been entered yet, etc., so just wait until you get the letter. We're still on Easter Break anyway, so some GAAP students might be away. Don't rely on the website.

hey guys, I live in Chicago so I haven't gotten my letter yet, but I tried the login thing with the ID number on the interview card they sent me and the last four digits of my social security number, and it was a successful login. the site even said something like "school at GU accepted into: SFS". does this definitely mean I got in? can I celebrate?

yea, i think its pretty safe for u to start celebrating

has anyone else not been able to log in and has been officially accepted?

I'd try it, but as an International I don't have a SS number, so I assume they're using either a random combo, or something else for me...

I find it ironic that tomorrow is Easter when, for us Christians/Catholics, it's supposed to the day of ultimate celebration of God and Christ- when atm I would like to punch God in the face. I must have an awful personality, because it has been only colleges that require an interview that I have been rejected from. Either that, or it's something to do with the internet. Because those are also the schools that have notified my via the net/e-mail. Well, looks like my hopes of being one of the few students at my school to travel outside a 150 mile radius of the city have been once again dashed. Glory and praise to God.

Meh, one miserable year at a school I don't want to be at, and then I'll transfer.

Hey, can somebody explain how to edit a post you've already made, in case you wanna add stats or make a correction?

Posts can only be changed within the first 5-30 minutes (depending on the settings of the phpBB board) of the post. After that, you must make an addendum post.
