Acceptances?

If you calculate and you are on the edge of receiving a higher award, call and talk with the office. Letting them know you took two languages or something like that and it may move the money up. Good luck.

Off their website about the recalculation of GPA:
"While we expect to see a challenging curriculum, we also expect to see good grades. Essentially, the Admissions Committee is looking for an established record of success in a rigorous academic program. For admission purposes, we will recalculate your GPA on the basis of college preparatory academic courses. Most of these courses fall into the core categories of English, mathematics, science, social studies, and foreign language. We will assign extra weighting to certain courses we use for this purpose (a full point for AP, IB, and AICE; half a point for honors, gifted, dual enrollment, pre-IB, and pre-AICE)."

Thanks! Not sure how I missed that.

My D got her admissions letter today! She immediately affixed her "There Is Only One New College of Florida The Honors College of Florida" bumper sticker to her car.

She is so excited and is looking forward to meeting you all in Sarasota this fall!

Congratulations!

A question for those of you who were accepted, how quickly were you able to set up your ncf e-mail address?

They make ncf e-addresses available to students when they send out orientation packets.
