JordanDryce, the info soozievt provided is basically correct, but Hartt has one early audition date (Dec 5th) that will render a decision released by Hartt just before Xmas. It’s a certainty that the posters who indicated Hartt acceptances already were part of that early audition pool. If you did not audition on that date, then no notification will be forthcoming. If you did, I’d give it a few more days, then contact the admissions office.

All the other audition dates receive notification from Hartt at the end of March.

For the record, my knowledge is not in MT, but am well familiar with Hartt’s specific process.

I did audition on December 5th and have yet to hear anything at all besides a letter welcoming me into the academic honors program for U of Hartford. I contacted the admissions office for Hartt, and they said they were gone for the break. Should I try contacting the University of Hartford admissions office?

Jordan, the first Hartt acceptance in the music major forum (violin performance) was received Christmas Eve, the 24th. Different discipline, but all the Hartt divisions mail around Xmas, sometimes over a day or three historically. Today is the 27th, a Sunday. I’d give it till tomorrow. I don’t know your geographic location, or the reliability of your local postal delivery. To the best of my recollection, the two admission offices operate separately, and UHartford may or may not be able to help you.

I’m not certain as to if they send email notifications as well.

Check the university calendar on UHartford’s website for a reopen date, it may not be till after Jan1. There should be an indicator as to whether admissions/administration is back.

Agreed Violadad! I got my acceptance to the MT program on Christmas eve, but I only live 1 hour and a half from the school, so definitely give it time!

I don’t know I did the early audition on Dec. 5, and I was notified of my acceptance on Dec 24th. They advertise that they let you know within 2 to 3 weeks. It may be possible that either they are behind or your child has been deffered which is always good. No news is good news!

My D received her acceptance letter yesterday (a thin envelope, so we thought it was a rejection at first and were pleasantly surprised). She attended the NYC unifieds. We’re excited…but the scholarship amount is much less than most of the other schools have offered and cost is a major factor for us. But the actual financial aid letter is still pending.
