Accepted but then what?

<p>Hi, guys, I was accepted at Princeton and, naturally, enrolled. However, since I am an international, I have some questions. Please, help me if you can.</p>

<li><p>On my application I indicated that the Woodrow Wilson School is my first choice (second - economics). However, the acceptance letter said nothing about that. I know that the WWS has a limited enrollment but when do we enroll? When we go there in September? What is this limited enrollment? Do we have to apply again or they will simply choose some of the applicants?</p></li>
<li><p>How will they assign us roommates? Will we receive some kind of a questionnaire ( the “when do you prefer to study, do you smoke” one)?</p></li>
<li><p>Princeton offered me a good financial aid package. When I enrolled, I said that I agree to accept it. However, as far as I know, tuition & other expenses go up by 5% each year. Does the financial aid package increase proportionally or I’ll have to pay more in the following years?</p></li>

<p>1.) I dont think Woody Woo enrollment starts in our frosh year. Correct me if I'm wrong.</p>

<p>2.) Yes I think we'll get questionaires along with the housing info.</p>

From the Financial Aid Policy thingy they sent us- 'While the award ou receive during your freshman year provides an indication of the amount and type of assistance you may receive while you are an undergraduate, your aid can increase or decrease depending on actual changes in your family situation. Finally you can be assured that once you are enrolled and if you demonstrate need in subsequent years, Princeton will continue to provide financial aid.' so I think they re evaluate FA every year and make sure that your EFC stays the same despite increased expenses :)</p>

<p>Congratulations, Mirela! These are things that were asked on LAST year's housing form. I'm not sure if it will be exactly the same this year, but this should give you an idea. There is no smoking in the dorm rooms.</p>

<p>Students are randomly assigned to a residential college, and then the preferences are considered from there. </p>

<p>There are two pages to fill out for dorm preferences (or, front and back).</p>

<p>Describe your ideal roommate (6 words).
Describe yourself.</p>

<p>Indicate preference: single sex area, coed, no preference</p>

<p>" : No roommate 1 roommate 2-3 roommates 4 or more</p>

<p>Are you interested in living in a substance-free environment (where students pledge not to use alcohol etc)</p>

<p>There are questions about sleeping, noise, room neatness, room temp.
and then you are asked to rank your preferences in order of importance to you.</p>

<p>Music preferences.</p>

<p>Athlete?</p>

<p>Degree pursuing?</p>

<p>Any medical conditions whatsoever, details, etc.</p>

<p>There is also a sheet for the resident advisor that asks things like favorite foods (for study breaks, which are weekly i think, all sorts of food--like Mex, Chinese, cookies and milk, ice cream...), how you like to spend your free time when not studying, what trips you might be interested in (for the college-sponsored ones, like to Broadway etc)</p>

<p>There is another sheet for your academic advisor that asks what courses you are considering for you first semester, what your academic interests and plans are at this point, etc.</p>

<p>And yeah, mirela, you don't apply for Woody Woo until spring of sophomore year for your last two years at Princeton. Until then, you can take a variety of classes to find your interests, and then if you're still interested in WWS, you can apply. Good luck!</p>
