I receieved my acceptance package today. I am thrilled, except the letter says I was admitted to the School of Communication as a Foreign Language and Communication Media Major. How did American decide to place me in the School of Communications? I applied via CommonApp, so there was no American supplement or a place to select the school to which you were applying. I thought I was applying to the College of Arts & Sciences. If I call, do you think it will be easy for them to switch the school? The major they listed in my acceptance letter was not one I selected.

It doesn't mean jack. You can enroll and change schools at your will. Just go in as a Comm major and switch to CAS as soon as you get there.

Haha, yeah, they got my major/school wrong too. Ah well. I'm glad it's easy to switch.

My son's is wrong, too. He plans to attend, so I'm glad he can switch.
