Accepted Elsewhere?

Anyone already got acceptances elsewhere but holding out for a SC acceptance?

If so, would you be too disappointed with your other options?

I've been accepted at...
Santa Clara
Loyola Marymount
Cal Poly SLO
San Diego State

they are basically all backups, if i dont get into USC my plan is to go to UCSB (pending I get accepted there) and do the honors program probablly and then transfer to USC for sophomore year and join a frat so i could make friends quickly!

as you can see, i've thought through what ill do if im not accepted..haha

but USC is still numbero uno

I been accepted to
UCR
UCSB
UCSC

These are my safetys. I am waiting for UCLA and UCSD, but USC is my number one choice. If I don't get accepted to USC, I think I will go to either UCSB, UCR or UCSD (depends on if I get accepted to UCSD)

calivi3tgurl - just out of curiousity, when did you hear from ucsc? my cousin's heard back from uci and ucsb, but i don't know of any other freshman applicants that have heard back from ucsc.

I was guaranteed admission into UCSC and recently got an invite to a scholars reception on Apr. 4th. I haven't receive a acceptance yet, but I assumed from the invitation and guaranteed letter that I got in.

Hope this answers your question =)

Accepted at......

Case Western - fullride
Penn State
U. Maryland
South Florida

Waiting on (Out of State)
UCLA/SD/I/SB

and of course USC

USC is by far my first choice! My only hope to NOT go to Case Western at Cleveland, Ohio. :( Yuck..
USC is my dream school! The academic programs, environment, lifestyle all fit me better than Case.

Son

accepted at:
Case Western -- Good merit money but not great
USC -- no Financial aid yet but he is a NMF
Univ Colorado - Boulder -- Some Merit $$ but no final package yet
Univ of Arizona -- Full Ride
Oregon State -- Good merit Money but not great

Waiting on:
Northwestern
Penn

I've been accepted into Chapman's film production program with a scholarship, but USC is by far my first choice, the idea of going to Chapman just depresses me cause it's just not the environment i want to be in... even though everyone keeps saying it's the next best film school

accepted at:
st.marys of cali

waiting to hear from sc, penn, usf, northwestern, boston college, pepperdine, michigan, rice, and more

USC is no. 1

been acepted to

Claremont Mckenna scholarship interview on 4/12
UCSB

waiting on others

S accepted at:

USC
Notre Dame-(early)
USD (good merit $)

waiting on BC, CAL and UCLA

No idea which one he'll chose.

accepted at LMU film school. USC as undeclared. UCSC (maybe? because I got the invitation too which seems promising). Waiting on some other UC's and a couple of other privates....waiting waiting

accepted at UCLA (engineering), UCSB, and NYU. havn't heard back from USC yet.
i'm really not even considering usc anymore, because although i love the school, it's just a lot more $$ than a UC (plus i haven't even gotten in!)
good luck everyone i hope you get into your first choice, wherever it may be!

D accepted at the "other" USC (Gamecocks) and Univ. of Washington. Still waiting on U. Penn also.

Honestly, just don't think the Trojans will match them cost wise. UW is our in-state and Carolina has offered D a scholarship with in-state tuition status.

Still hoping she gets accepted by SC because it may give me a stronger hand with the FinAid guys at the other schools.

alison22, did you get GSP'd at NYU or did you get accepted?? i didn't think that acceptances had been sent out yet.

My D applied for BA of Theatre and is still waiting to hear from USC. She was accepted at Ithaca College’s BA of Theatre with scholarships. I'm still holding on for USC and their financial package. My D is excited about Ithaca and not too hopeful on USC at this point.

Ithaca is her first choice now and USC is second. The reason for this is my D has visited Ithaca twice which gave her the opportunity to spend a night at the dorms, attend classes, tour the theatre facilities, see a play, and interview with the theatre faculty last November.

She received an invitation, yesterday, to the USC School of Theatre's Open House on April 7th. If she hears from admissions (accepted) before then, we'll attend the Open House and visit the school at that time. That will allow her to really compare the two schools and theatre programs. I think my D is going to fall in love with USC during the Open House and probably financials are going to make the decision for her.

The U of Washington and U of Oregon have sent her acceptance letters. She is still waiting on 4 other schools, but I think the decision is really going to be between USC and Ithaca.

de la noche, i got an invitation to "Sunday at the Square," that says it's an informational thing for the accepted class of 2011 (for CAS, not GSP). I called admissions yesterday and they confirmed that it means I got in, but I haven't recieved an official letter yet.

Accepted at:
USC (interviewed for Trustee Scholarship)
Duke (Robertson Scholar semifinalist but didn't make it past that round)
Vanderbilt
University of Texas- Plan II Honors

and

Likely letters from:
UNC-Chapel Hill
University of Virginia
Dartmouth

This is already way too tough of a decision and I haven't even heard from 4 schools yet. USC is definitely near the top of the list right now though because when I visited I had so much fun and loved the campus and people. I love USC!!

Congats!

unfortunately, i applied to Stern so i won't hear back til last minute most likely

Accepted at:
UTexas Business Honors
UNC

haha those are the only other schools I applied to.
