<p>I recently got an email from UCSB saying they have received my fafsa, and "To access your 'Unofficial Award Letter,' please go to UCSB</a> Admissions and click on the 'Admitted Students' link." Thing is, I haven't actually been admitted. When I follow the link, it just says I'm a dumbass and they haven't announced my status yet, though not exactly in those words.</p>
<p>Did anyone else get a similar letter?</p>

<p>and yeap no aid of any sort, unless you count loans as aid...</p>
<p>but it doesn't say you're accepted? How did you get it to show you the aid letter, it just keeps kicking me back to the "Decision pending..." screen.</p>
<p>lopside: I was accepted, but they didn't calculate my aid until yesterday. I also had the same letter.
Maybe you've been accepted, but they haven't updated the site.</p>
<p>Apparently their financial aid office was slightly out of synch with their applications office, because 14 hours after being notified of my financial aid award, I'm now officially admitted. yay... !</p>
