<p>I'm in a weird situation. On my app, for some reason I switched my first choice and second choice major. I got accepted for my first choice major (which, in normal circumstances, is awesome), but I actually wanted my alternate choice. How hard is it to change a major? Do you have to complete a semester, or is it easily switched?</p>

<p>What’s your first choice major? If its not Business Administration, you can switch majors at SPOP (basically freshman orientation).</p>
<p>Depends on the major, some are really easy - you can even change before coming in Freshmen year. But if it’s impacted, it’s going to be a little more difficult. If you say what major you’re looking for then I can give you a better answer.</p>
<p>Sorry about that. I was accepted into the Claire Trevor Arts School, and I would be interested in switching to their Engineering school.</p>
<p>I believe you can’t switch into Engineering but then again, I don’t really remember from SPOP. Just send the counselor an email asking if you can do that.</p>
<p>I was reading this and was wondering if I could switch from Mechanical Engineering to another type of Engineering in SPOP, before freshman year starts. I’m considering other engineering subtypes that really appeal me, especially Electrical Eng.</p>
<p>What about going from Chemistry to BioChem?</p>
