Accepted for "Spring 2018" and not "Fall 2017"

I applied for an out of state school for fall of 2017. My application was “withdrawn” and I was accepted for spring of 2018. Would I be able to start my local university and then after my first semester, transfer to that school I was accepted to (which is out of state) in spring of 2018 or would that college make me reapply? Or is that college that accepted me for spring of 2018 forcing me to miss a semester of college and start late if I truly wanted to go there? Thanks!

@JSwag98112 answered on your other post…the school offered you admission for the spring of 2018. There wouldn’t be a need to transfer. If you accept and pay the deposit you are in. You need to check with the university to see what their policy is on transferring credits from another college. You would want to make sure you take classes that transfer so that you don’t wind up going an extra semester. Don’t want to waste time and money. Make sure there are no conditions with this acceptance. Get great grades in the fall. Verify all of this with the university before doing anything. Good luck and congrats!!

Also verify housing situation for spring - will they guarantee space on campus or are you on your own to find off campus housing. If it’s the latter, that could be an issue given that students usually sign year leases that cover both semesters. You’d be looking fora sublet of someone who left school, is going an internship, studying abroad, etc. And that probably means living with someone not a freshman - that may or may not be an issue for you.
