Accepted: Midyear

thats hilarious. yeah im a troll. my hobby is to come on to collegeconfidential and stir up trouble. i think its hilarious that you even have a word for that. all i'm telling you guys is what i was told by a woman on the phone at admissions. i saw this thread so i responded with what i was told. she may have been mistaken, but she told me that everyone has to send them in. caddyshack says he was told we dont have to, so maybe the girl i spoke to was wrong.

Everyone has to turn in a midyear report, including Early Action acceptees.

I called and verified this information -- the person I spoke with told me that if that weren't the case (the guy was pretty snide), there wouldn't be a February 1st due date for Early Actioneers.

lol, ouch. but thanks for clearing it up!

(and i thought a troll was just an ugly green thing that lives under bridges and eats people... oops?)

yea, they are right, i called the admissions office yesterday, and they said even if you are accepted EA, you still need mid-year report by feb. 10

Does someone owe Mike an apology...?

Wow, thanks for bumping this post from way back in the archives just to say that.

Guys, I know i've already told you, but here is the text from the emails the Admissions officer sent me when I emailed her regarding this topic.

First Email

"You don't need to send in mid-year grades, but we will need a final transcript if you decide to enroll."

Second Email

"Thanks for your email. The reason we would want it is to simply monitor your progress thoughout the rest of your academic year. However, your final transcript would tell us all we need to know anyway."

Makes sense. Because we already have to send in end of year Grades, what's the point of sending in a midyear transcript???

Does someone owe me an apology...? ";;"

are you talking to me?

...are you talkin' to me?!?

LOL :D

u talkin to me---- with a mafioso expression

no sempitern/calidan/caddyshack, none of them are talking to you.

And which admissions officer was this?

LOL netshark.

And hello again, Tlak! How was DC? :)

is it just me, or is everyone sick of snow (other than you cali bastards, i hate you  )?

the admissions officer's name was Karen Spencer, she is the Michigan representative.

Wooooo!!! No snow!!!!! It's the middle of JANUARY and it's frickin' 60 degrees outside right now. Maybe I'll go swimming? Or perhaps sunbathing? Maybe I'll go for a jog in shorts and a teeshirt? I can do all of it because it's 60 degrees outside and I don't have to worry about the weather at all!!! BWAHAHAHAHA!!! :D How's the snow, all you New Englanders (and Great Lakers)? You can... um... build an igloo.

Haha... just kidding. I gotta take advantage of this weather while I can because OMG am I going to have such a rude awakening when I go to the east coast for college. :o

Trust me, you have no idea. You probably don't have to go out twenty minutes early to start your car. You haven't felt how breathing actually HURTS when it is this cold... Or better yet, driving on the snow!!! California is a whole other planet right now.

Actually, I flew in from DC two nights ago, so I know all about the snow and the cold. =D.. that was a rough but nice experience.
