So I was accepted EA last week and I just got an e-mail requesting that I submit my mid-year grades. Is this normal? For some reason I was under the impression that only deferred students were asked to do this... I'm just nervous that they are rethinking their decision to admit me ahh!

EA applicants had to report mid-year grades last year. You'll be fine as long as they are fairly consistent with your other grades. A little dip is fine.

I got that e-mail, too, and was confused because I thought EA accepted only had to send in an end-of-year transcript. I called the admissions office today and they told me that it IS just end-of-year transcripts for EA accepted unless they send an e-mail saying that you need to report your midyear grades.

So I was wondering if there were any EA accepted that didn't get this e-mail?

Requests for midyear grades from students accepted EA or ED is common practice at virtually every school with early notification programs. Just don't slack off the rest of the year.
