Yesterday I recieved an email for Northeastern informing me I have been accepted off the waitlist. I had already committed to UGA so I’m not fully sure on what to do. I am planning on majoring in mathematics/actuary science for background. Also they gave me $36k a year in financial aid, but I will still have to ask for more to make going there viable.
Any advice on what I should do. As of now, the financials for UGA would be cheaper and the logistics would be easier. Any advantages to going to Northeastern aside from it being in a nicer area (imo)?
So true! I’m like 80 percent sure im going to graduate school anyway. I’ll still be requesting more financial aid from Northeastern but as of now I have free tuition at UGA
There is basically a negative chance of getting more aid from Northeastern, sorry. Not only have I never seen a case of them revising a financial aid award without any new information/significant circumstantial changes, but also if you’re coming off the waitlist, they’re probably not pulling out all the stops.
